San Mateo, California -February 21, 2025 - Domatic, a pioneer in smart building technology, today announced the launch of "Zeus", an innovative 10-port hub that revolutionizes how modern buildings manage and control connected devices. This latest addition to Domatic's ecosystem represents a significant advancement in smart building technology, offering unprecedented power management and third-party application integration capabilities.
The PowerHub serves as the cornerstone of Domatic's intelligent building management system, capable of controlling up to 1kW of field fixtures through its 10 Class 2 output ports. Its streamlined design integrates seamlessly into low-voltage cabinets and features advanced connectivity options, including three Ethernet ports, a 2A USB port for peripheral devices, and a power failure detector to support emergency lighting features.
"Our 2nd generation PowerHub represents a major step forward in our mission to transform building infrastructure," said Jim Baldwin, CEO of Domatic. "Smart buildings are notoriously complicated, but they don’t need to be. By combining power distribution, device management, and application hosting in a single, robust, on-premises platform, we're making smart buildings more accessible and manageable than ever before."
Domatic’s innovative Application Developer Kit (ADK) enables third-party developers to create custom applications that can be deployed across any Domatic-powered building. The PowerHub hosts applications built using the ADK, allowing software developers to create on-premises innovations in environmental controls, monitoring, and even user experiences for Domatic-connected touch screens.
"The ADK is a game-changer for developers," added Curtis Wong, CEO of Cloud Apartments, a leading modular housing company and Domatic customer. "It simplifies how we design and build our projects. Domatic is making smart building capabilities accessible without the premium cost. We can create customized experiences for our residents while maintaining robust security and performance standards."
The PowerHub functions as an edge computing device, maintaining consistent connectivity with Domatic Cloud services while ensuring autonomous operation during network interruptions. This architecture enables comprehensive data collection and analysis, providing building operators with valuable insights into facility performance and usage patterns.
